Utini Girls High School

Nguu / Masumba Ward

Nguu/Masumba Ward is home to around 13,500 friendly, family-oriented, and hardworking residents. Agriculture is the main livelihood, with maize and horticultural crops being the primary produce, but the average household income is just 30,000 Kenyan Shillings (about $230 USD). Most families live in simple homes made of handmade mud bricks with thatched roofs, outdoor kitchens, and latrines.
During this mission trip, World Servants teams will partner with Utini Girls High School to improve living and learning conditions for more than 805 students by constructing a multipurpose building and dormitories. Participants will help with various tasks, including carpentry, grouting, and hauling materials. They will also attend local worship services and visit families to experience life in rural Kenya. After several days of service, the team will enjoy a safari at Amboseli National Park and sightseeing in Nairobi before returning home. Safety will be a top priority throughout the trip.
